Hey all -
I'm working on a site currently, and I had a general question about
older versions of Mozilla. The one I have for testing is Mozilla (not
Firefox) 1.7.13 (I don't think it's that old...) I have several floated
divs - all floats are cleared with a clearing element before continuing
on to the next section of the page as you work your way down. Funny
thing is, in this version of Mozilla, the background images do not show
up in the divs that contain floats - even though I have clearing
elements in place to pull the background down past/behind them.
I was wondering if this is something that's known about or a common
problem in Mozilla versions? I can't figure out what it is that would
cause the backgrounds not to expand past the floats when I *do* have
clearing elements in place. (Every other browser I have - and I have
*many*, as well as other platforms - the background stretches down as
expected.)
I can't really post the site to the list, as I'm under NDA on this, but
if anyone wants to see the CSS and HTML, please let me know and I can
pass it along offlist. (Yeah, I know that's extra crap to go through,
but I would appreciate the help.) If there's a "general" answer to
this, though, that'd be nice to know :)
Thanks!
~Shelly
