Hello,
I'm working on the redesign of the UC Davis campus newspaper's Web site,
so I will appreciate any moment of your time to get a browser/platform
check of these example pages:
http://www.gerbilbox.org/aggieonline/front.html
http://www.gerbilbox.org/aggieonline/section.html
http://www.gerbilbox.org/aggieonline/story.html
The layout is done entirely with CSS, so there isn't a single bloody
table. I've done all-CSS layouts before, but this one was pretty
challenging for me, despite its conservative news-oriented design. So
far I've been able to test using IE5/Mac, NS7, Mozilla, and IE6/Win and
they all appear to render quite well. It renders, what I consider,
reasonably well on Netscape 4.x, which was one of my goals.
I am having a problem with Opera5/Mac when viewing the story.html page,
where part of the background doesn't render for some reason. Anyone got
a clue with what's going on?
I'm essentially trying to make the redesign standards compliant and use
CSS quite extensively. So I want to make sure that it works well with
standards-compliant browsers and reasonably compliant ones.
Please ignore the "Text Size" menu for now. It's only partly functional.
Oh yeah, don't click on links on the pages, these are only example pages
so most links don't really go anywhere.
Thanks.
Alex
