displaying tree structures?: msg#01223

Subject: displaying tree structures?
I'm doing some geneological displays and am doing the usual tree
structure for ancestors and descendants, and I was wondering if anyone
had looked at doing this with CSS - I cant think of any sensible way
to do the displays - certainly each tree-node can be placed fairly
nicely with absolute positioning - but how on earth would you get the
lines connecting the nodes?

~ apologies if this has been discussed recently - I've just resubbed
after being driven away by the traffic when the list first started,
but a search of the archives didnt reveal any recent discussion of
this topic
