thanks for pointing out the issue with the library; I would never have guessed I
had the wrong package.. typical!

By the way, if you're compiling for Debian, have you got any idea on how
wengophone could be packaged? It took me quite a while to figure the automake
source distributions.. I feel that SCons will be even harder!
