full pcHDTV patch to lib: msg#00151video.xine.devel
Hi all, First we would like to thank the xine team for a really cool media player. We wanted HDTV in linux and you helped make this possible. I would like to also submit two patches used for HDTV which are also based on Beta 10. It includes the XvMC as well as an input plugin for opening a /dev/dtv device to display digital television. I'll be submitting a patch to V4L to add dtv support for the pcHDTV HD-2000 card to the V4L driver. There are also modified control pannels that support changing channels. This would be useful for the NTSC/PAL V4L plugin as well. Their is also a record button added to allow instant recording in the future. You may want to look at them and decide if you want to use them as is or maybe to quary which contol pannel type the user chooses and support the previous version as well. I moved the pannel api up to 5 for these pannels to include channel changing and DTV display information. We intend to continue to support xine in the future and would like your permission to link to the xine web site. Xine truly does a great job with HD televison with and with out the XvMC acceleration depending on processor speed. Everyone at pcHDTV would like to thank you for the great job you have done with xine. This version of xine as well as the V4L driver and some dtv tools are available as a download at www.pcHDTV.com. The card will be available and shipping August 19 for $189.89 + s/h. Thanks Jack Kelliher pcHDTV Inc.
