These "shadows" also appear with oxine when using the xv output.
This only appears when making a selection in the menu. Other items are also shown using the xine osd functions but don't show these "shadows".
What seems to happen is also that the rectangle of the selection appears more blue than when using xshm output.
When using xshm or dxr3 output, these "shadows" are gone.

I'm going to supply a simple xine application with a static VDR OSD menu. Maybe someone more familar with the osd stuff can then have a look at it.

Next, I'll try SyncFB to see how my Matrox G550 behaves.
