My interest in XvMC is the overlay compositing.
I see this patch does not do any of that.
I think it would be good to be able to do the compositing in hardware, 
instead of having to do the compositing onto the actual frame before it 
is sent to the video card.
We would end up with better OSD support, particularly when doing 
deinterlacing onefield.
