Subject: Re: lockups with XFree86 4.3

FWIW:

I experience intermittent lockups with Debian kernel-source-2.4.21
(2.4.21-3) with applied patches kernel-patch-2.4-lowlatency
(20030706-1) and kernel-patch-2.4-preempt (20030617-5) and
/proc/sys/kernel/lowlatency set to 1.

Under this configuration, I have seen the same behaviour as Andrei,
i.e. restarting (at the same nice level) sometimes works without lockups.

I have not tried any other kernel configuration with XFree 4.3. Other
details are specified in other mails in this thread.
