xine performance report: (and it's good ;-): msg#00095video.xine.devel
Hi, I've just tried running the 95 MB "Matrix Reloaded" trailer on a dual 700 MHz PIII using CVS xine. I wasn't expecting it to work ... but it DID! Thanks to the native video and sound support, no doubt. But all the same! The Win32 recommendation is single 1GHz CPU, after all. I should probably mention that I had copied the movie file to /dev/shm to eliminate disk IO, and that some of the earlier sequences with a bit jerky in places, but I'm not complaining. Nice job, Cheers, Chris ________________________________________________________________________ Want to chat instantly with your online friends? Get the FREE Yahoo!
