just curious: besides being more up to date, what exactly do you miss on
the old libmpeg2?

i'm asking because it seems to work just fine here, and imho, changing
what works shouldn't be a priority for 1.0 or RC series... (nevertheless
i agree that in the long run getting up to date with libmpeg2 is a good
thing)
