Transcoding into H.263 or MPEG-4 |
Hi again
I've built VLC based on the CVS snaphshot fron 25th april, and the
FFMPEG CVS snapshot from 22th april with the 2 following command lines
(under Debian GNU/Linux SID) :
/for ffmpeg, ./configure --enable-pp --enable-mp3lame --enable-faad
--enable-faadbin --enable-pthreads --enable-gpl && make clean && make/
/for vlc, ./configure --enable-cdda --enable-ffmpeg --enable-faad
--enable-freetype --enable-wxwindows --enable-skins --enable-gtk
--enable-xosd --enable-libmpeg2 --enable-oss --enable-sout --enable-x11
--with-ffmpeg-mp3lame --with-ffmpeg-tree=../ffmpeg-cvs-2004-04-22 &&
make clean && make/
Everything goes right, and i get the executables after building. I'v no
problem to view localy all types of video and audio supported, but i get
an error with the transcoding module : when trying to transcode the
video from any codec to mp4v or h263, the video isn't streamed. I joined
the two output of both the client and the server. As far as i understand
them, the server initializes the transcoding module but the client never
seems to receive any video.
thx
Fred
