Hi
I'im new to vlc, I'm trying to use vlc to play videos files on my tv
I've an ATI rage 128 card with TV out and using the svgalib video driver :
"vlc --vout svgalib some.mpg"
.. I've a got a graphical scrambled lines display on my tv..
I tried to tweak the vertical and horizontal refresh parameter in svgalib config but it doesn't change anything
Does anyone succeed to use vlc with a tv ??
Please help :)
Thanks

k.

Use videolan behind a router

Good morning,   I use Videolan to watch TV on demand. If I connect the modem directly to my LAN CARD there is no problems, but if I use a router (with static IP) Videolan doesn't work. Have you any suggest for me? Best regards.     Andrea Santini

I wanted to do the same in perl this weekend since my wife for some reason unknown refuses to use the telnet interface to switch the DVB channels :-) Well, now i will finally have to take a look at python...
