Summary: dual head+ati drivers= no tvtime in head 2

Initial Comment:
i got a similar problem as bug 895563

http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=6988611

i'm using xorg 6.8.1, a ati 9600 card, fglrx 8.12.10
drivers

i setup the X to use dual head, with 2 screens, :0.0
and :0.1 (ie: not clone, not ximerama, 2 different
heads/screens/desktops in the same X)

i can run tvtime fine in the :0.0 head, but in the :0.1
head it gives this error

can this be a bug in tvtime or ati fglrx binary drivers
forgot to marke the head 2 with this support (xawtv
works by the way, probably use a different access method?)

[ tvtime-Bugs-963572 ] A feature request: configurable OSD font sizes

Category: OSD/Interface Group: Open bugs in CVS tvtime Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Darius Mazeika (dariusm) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: A feature request: configurable OSD font sizes Initial Comment: I really would like to be able to configure OSD font sizes myself, since if I watch tv from a distance with remote control, I am not able to see OSD very well - it's too tiny for me. Putting glasses on every time to change a channel numbering or just to check EPG what's next control is a bit cubersome and irritating. I think, tvtime.xml config file or tvtime-configure utility power user approach would be very usable. Thank you ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Adam Felson (adamf123) Date: 2005-05-31 09:07 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=242260 I second this. The XML program listing information is unreadable from across the room. I use my computer for normal use so I don't want to edit /etc/X11/xorg. conf. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Billy Biggs (vektor) Date: 2004-05-31 07:55 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=153320 I do not think that just making the font size configurable is the correct approach. Due to the layout and content of the text, the range of sizes that make sense is very small. What would make sense is simply a toggle for a large-font mode. We could probably come up with something good, hopefully without many layout changes. We should compare with some video games and see how large the fonts are in their menus. I'm worried though, since I think our text is already pretty large. Thoughts? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=506987&aid=963572&group_id=64301 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by Yahoo.
