ImageMagick 6.1.1 compiles without complaint under Solaris 2.8 and 2.9.
Unfortunately we do not have access to Solaris 2.5.  ImageMagick 6.1.1 has
the very latest release versions of automake/autoconf/libtool.  You may be
able to grab an older version of these tools and run these commands:

  aclocal
        autoconf
        autoheader
        libtoolsize --automake --copy --force
        automake --add-missing --copy

And try to build.  Perhaps there is a bug in the current GNU automake tools.
