Avview 0.80.7 compile errors on Debian Testing with Xorg7

At first I was getting this error:
     xv.c:24:34: error: X11/extensions/Xvlib.h: No such file or directory
Then I noticed that on this system there really is no such file.
But there is a file X11/extensions/Xvproto.h. So I changed the include
in Avview xv.c to include Xvproto.h. But I still get a bunch of errors,
starting out like this:

xv.c:68: warning: implicit declaration of function ‘XvFreeAdaptorInfo’

xv.c:80: error: ‘xvi’ undeclared (first use in this function)
xv.c: In function ‘xv_adaptor_type’:
xv.c:127: error: ‘XvAdaptorInfo’ undeclared (first use in this function)
xv.c:127: error: ‘xvi’ undeclared (first use in this function)
xv.c:163: error: ‘XvInputMask’ undeclared (first use in this function)
... and so on -- many more.
Is there a different Avview version to use with Xorg?
