Subject: Choppy vcd and no sound (no audio)

I am trying to convert my camera AVI video's to VCD's so I can record
them for longer term use. Here is my output.

$ ffmpeg -i dscf0012.avi -target pal-vcd output/test1.mpg

If I try to target DVD i hear the audio fine.

Any thoughts?
