Choppy vcd and no sound (no audio): msg#00245video.ffmpeg.user
I am trying to convert my camera AVI video's to VCD's so I can record them for longer term use. Here is my output. $ ffmpeg -i dscf0012.avi -target pal-vcd output/test1.mpg ffmpeg version 0.4.9-pre1, build 4738, Copyright (c) 2000-2004 Fabrice Bellard configuration: --build i386-linux --enable-gpl --enable-pp --enable-zlib --enable-vorbis --enable-a52 --enable-dts --disable-mmx --disable-debug --prefix=/usr built on Dec 14 2005 11:48:30, gcc: 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8ubuntu2) Input #0, avi, from 'dscf0012.avi': Duration: 00:00:16.0, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 7051 kb/s Stream #0.0: Video: mjpeg, 640x480, 30.00 fps Stream #0.1: Audio: pcm_u8, 16000 Hz, mono, 128 kb/s Output #0, vcd, to 'output/test1.mpg': Stream #0.0: Video: mpeg1video, 352x288, 25.00 fps, q=2-31, 1150 kb/s Stream #0.1: Audio: mp2, 44100 Hz, mono, 224 kb/s Stream mapping: Stream #0.0 -> #0.0 Stream #0.1 -> #0.1 Press [q] to stop encoding frame= 401 q=0.0 Lsize= 2735kB time=16.0 bitrate=1401.4kbits/s video:2261kB audio:437kB global headers:0kB muxing overhead 1.360672% pearcec@wideload:~/Documents/pictures/movies$ file output/test1.mpg output/test1.mpg: MPEG sequence, v1, system multiplex pearcec@wideload:~/Documents/pictures/movies$ file dscf0012.avi dscf0012.avi: RIFF (little-endian) data, AVI, 640 x 480, 30.00 fps, video: Motion JPEG, audio: uncompressed PCM (mono, 16000 Hz) If I try to target DVD i hear the audio fine.
