x264 pipe syntax for recent versions on Intel Mac: msg#00171video.ffmpeg.user
I was able to compile x264 with ffmpeg support on an Intel iMac after finding this patch announcement on the x264 mailing list. > Patch against CVS for libavcodec/ffmpeg input support is at the URL > below just in case anyone wants to integrate it. GPL release is okay. > > http://www.mukund.org/temp/x264-ffmpeg-3.patch Now instead of the "Illegal instruction" error when I run the following command, I get " could not open input file '-'". Is there a more appropriate command I should be using? This one has worked for a while with previous versions of ffmpeg and x264. ffmpeg -i ~/video.mpg -f rawvideo -s 320x240 -| x264 -o ~/output.mp4 - 320x240 -- Laine Lee |
