Maybe you can build and install faac first.

$ cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvsroot/faac co faac
$ cd faac; ./bootstrap; ./configure --disable-shared
$ make; sudo make install
