RE: "soft telecine": msg#00216video.ffmpeg.user
Rich, I appreciate the answer, and what I'm asking is if it skips fields when it is decoding, or if it keeps them in tact. The other part of the question is would it be better to specify a lower framerate (could I tell it to ignore the flag, and just get the origonal untelecined frames) As far as the CRAP... I don't add it to my e-mail, It is added at my gateway. If it is too annoying, I'll have to switch e-mail acccounts. ________________________________ From: ffmpeg-user-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx on behalf of Rich Felker Sent: Fri 2/17/2006 11:58 PM To: FFMpeg user questions and RTFMs Subject: Re: [Ffmpeg-user] "soft telecine" On Fri, Feb 17, 2006 at 04:55:09PM -0500, Arant, Wayne wrote: > Sorry for all the wuestions on my first day. > One last question for the day (probibly) If I have a "soft telecined" > (i.e. video with the pullup flag, but not the actual frames/fields, Does > FFMPEG honor that flag, and read the full 29.97. It will not interleave them into nasty interlaced field-pairs for you, if that's what you want... > ************** N O T I C E ************** > The information contained in this transmission is intended for the exclusive > use of the addressee(s) and may contain information that is privileged, > confidential, and/or protected from disclosure. Please do not send crap like this to public mailing lists... It lacks linebreaks even.
