radeon install problems

I think I have 3d acceleration installed on a redhat 9.0 linux o/s with 
a Radeon 64 Meg DDR AGP video card.

the problem is when I try to run Enemy Territory (which needs 3D 
Acceleration) it says there is no hardware acceleration

I need help on getting everything set up correctly so that I can have 3D 
acceleration.

I am fairly new to linux .. so please .. do not assume anything..

I'm not even sure what information to tell you
so you can help me..

so if someone would be kind (very kind) and help me out.
