ok, im trying to install the r200 drivers from dri's site to get 3d acceleration for gaming etc.
when i unpack the tarball and try to run the installation .sh, i encounter the famous error telling me that i need a new video module for my kernel because my current module isnt supported.
when i type lsmod, i see radeon.o listed. i know that i cant use the generic module that is provided by my kernel, but i dont know where to get any other modules. where could i get a video module that i can use in order to install dri? and when i find one, do i install it using insmod, or modprobe? im a newbie to this sorta thing. im using SuSE 8.2.
