9000 PCI no 3d acceleration

After trying RH 9 with the latest r200 snapshot I still cannot get 3d to
work even glxinfo report direct rendering is enabled. I am using the
ForcePCIMode option but it doesn't seem to be very stable has it crashes
the computer at random intervals. Have RH 9.1 beta a try looks like the
radeon drivers with dri have been built in the OS but still the same
symptoms as before with RH9. Has anyone mananged to get a radeon PCI
card to work properly in particularly the 9000? Thanks
