Ok found mesa inside the sources of XF86 3.0
still i am not a good linux user and can't compile the
stand-alone mesa. I believe I have to recompile all
the sources so Re-install XF86 3.0, right?

I've tried to re-set XF86Config with the config
program and enabled 3D, and now, if i Load "dri"
X starts with a blank screen and the monitor shuts
down... if no dri is loaded no problem but also no
3D... i think I'm going to retreat from linux....
