Subject: RE: MergedFB Mode Usage

I'm not sure what to tell you. Have to been able to use crtc2 at all?
In macos or xfree86 'screen' dualhead mode? Are you using radeonfb? I
seem to recall some threads about crtc2 not working properly/at all on
PPC, but I'm not familiar with the platform. You might try one of the
debian ppc lists or ask Michel Daenzer or Benjamin Herrenschmidt. They
are more familiar with the state of radeon support for PPC. If you are
able to get crtc2 working mergedfb should "just work." You might try
setting up a 'screen' based dualhead config and see if you can get that
working. if that doesn't work then there is a problem with crtc2
support on mac hardware since mergedfb and 'screen' based multihead
touch the hardware the same way.
