Hi to everybody,
I re-post since I go to response (I did not posted
any system specs, sorry)
I have a Radeon 9000 Pro AGP 4x on a Via KT333
based Asus Mainboard. (A7V333),
and SuSE Linux 8.1 installed on my sistem with XF86
ver 4.3. I installed ATI drivers but I only got
segfaults when I tried to run any 3D app. So I
installed the latest snapshots from
dri.sourceforge.net and I installed them. At first
the system hanged just after the
X server started or when I tried to set 3D up with
the config utility. Now, don't know
for what mystical reason, X works fine, but glxinfo
tells me there is no Direct Rendering,
so it's just as DRI was not installed. I tried to
install the kernel modules I found on the
web site of DRI, but nothing changed, also after
reinstalling DRI.
Do you have any clue? Thanks in
