Hi everybody --
It's been a while, but I'm still here.
Now that my school year is coming to a close (and
now that I have an algorithms and data structures class under my belt) I will
have a lot more time to develop features that I envision for Blender.
Among those are a new mesh data type and Catmull-Clark surfaces with
creases. I already have working crease code, but I will have to add a new
data type in order to make it work.
Ton informed me a while back that he might be able
to provide information on creating a new data type in Blender. Seeing as
others have already done so, it would be rather pointless for me to try and
figure out how to do so myself without asking for help from people who know how
that system works. If anyone has any time to write up some rudimentary
documentation on how to do so (no, I'm not looking for Doxygen function and file
documentation), I would greatly appreciate your effort. Any
takers?
Matt
