Hrm... that's odd. I would have expected this to be caused by a bogus
shebang line in these scripts, but the shebang line should be the same for
1.0.4 versions as it is for the nightly builds.
What happens if you run standalone.py as an argument to your python binary,
like this:
$ python /path/to/standalone.py OPTIONS ...
?
