We've developers here who are a little... cavalier, with their branching
strategies - a positive light on this would be, that they adapt their
branching conventions to the needs of individual projects.
The upshot of this is that it'd be really good to be able to specify
arbitrary repo filetrees (and possibly anchored revs or dates thereof) to
extract diffs.
I _think_ this is what issue 23 is asking for, but if not...
... as far as I can tell, the machinery to do this is pretty much all in
place already - what's lacking is a suitable UI idiom to identify fs
roots for diffing.
Has any work been done to spec out what the UI for this should be? Since
it involves potentially browsing around a tree with a previously "saved"
viewpoint, there are presumably issues with URI design.
Cheers in advance,
jan
