It would be good to add a new path option for sed, but I doubt you actually need
it. Windows doesn't come with any tools called "sed" and ViewVC works just find
when sed.exe is on the system PATH. Setting the system path correctly can be
tricky: changes to the PATH won't propagate to system services until the machine
is rebooted, and sometimes apache configuration options will get in the way too.
These issues are covered in the windows/README file.
Also, and this is a tangent, I would not recommend using cygwin utilities with
software that runs natively on windows like ViewVC. Cygwin does weird things
with filenames, permissions, and command line parsing that can cause problems
with native software. And I wouldn't recommend using UnxUtils at all. The
gnuwin32 packages are better maintained and more up to date:

Leaving this issue open until we actually do add a sed path configuration
option.
