version of trunk and requires in the main svk script

It seems to me that the version number on the trunk of svk is a
previous version.
Maybe the trunk does not hold the latest code ?

lib/SVK/Version.pm

has this line:

our $VERSION = '1.0_01';

I am trying to figure out the svk code and got stuck right 
in the main script.
What are those require-s after the exit() for ?
Are they doing anything ?
