import failing with rc=1, no error message!!

Hi,

I have a strange problem with SVK 1.01 on RedHat 9.0: When importing 
incrementally to track a vendor branch, svk silently fails.

oreo[243]$ svk import //trunk

Perl is 5.8.0, modules are almost the same as on my FreeBSD machine 
where it works flawlessly.

(YAML actually *is* installed, it's at 0.35, the same as on my FreeBSD 
system.  I tried 0.39 as well, it didn't help the problem.)
