I think you may have missed the point of what I am proposing (or I
didn't make it clearly enough). I'm not talking about a merge tool: as
you say there are already plenty of those out there that work with svk
right now. I'm talking about a tool to graphically show the ancestry of
a given file/directory.

Michael Brouwer's reply to my post gave this as an example (for monotone):

No source involved, just the branch and merge history shown graphically.
That's what I'm talking about developing.
