Oh! I did not know that you couldn't branch if you
promoted a label. That is most likely the issue then, as I did promote the
label that wouldn't branch.
Thanks for your help,
Kevin
Kevin,
When
you are referring to old and new labels, are the old labels pre-2.0 labels, and
the new ones labels applied in the 2.0.2 release?
Sharing and branching are not available if you have promoted the label -
is it possible that is the problem?

Sorry, one more drill down. New labels (after
reinstall) do not allow sharing/branching ONLY on folders that have old labels
(before reinstall). If I put a new label on a folder that has not been
previously labelled (explicitly; this does not apply to folders with inherited
labels, old or new, which also work as expected), it allows me sharing and
branching of that label.
There's something about the old labels and new labels
that do not want to play nicely together on the same
folder.
Sorry for the multiple emails. This was a
debugging session in progress. :)
Thanks,
Kevin
Actually, another thing I noticed is that another
label I had on that branch from before I rebuilt the Vault Server yesterday
(to fix a problem with labels not working) will allow me those sharing and
branching options. The same is true on another code branch that I
labelled previous to the server rebuild. But any labels I put on now,
after the rebuild, will not allow sharing or branching.
Thanks,
Kevin
I'm trying to
branch a recursive label that I made, but when I do a "Show Labels..." on the
code branch, then right-click the label in the Recurive Labels section to
branch it, the branching option is greyed out (as is the sharing
option). Does anyone know why that would happen?
Thanks,
Kevin
