Jeremy told me that this can happen if a database has been restored 
from backup.  In this case, the client's cache files are newer
than the server's data, and the error occurs.  Clearing the client-side
cache files should help recover from this state (see the KB article
http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=6).
