There is a pretty broad range.  In my experience SCM engineers also must have other job skills depending on the project and those determine salary.  An SCM engineer that works on a small, fairly simple windows-based application may make as little as $30,000 USD per year.  An SCM engineer that also must be a UNIX administrator, Java Developer, Oracle DBA, and network engineer in order to do his/her job effectively can make as much as $150,000 as a consultant.  I believe that most companies have SCM engineers on the same pay scale as software developers based on experience: with the lowest positions (entry-level programmer) and highest (project architect) usually taken out of the mix.

I am SCM manager in my office. I am from Madrid, Spain. My question is about how much is a normal salary of a SCM engineer position ?. I think it is diferent by region but it can help me to get an idea.
