One quirk to the rename/edit using... sequence - since the
file is open for add, reverting the files in the change list
doesn't remove it from your system. (The original file, which
was being deleted is restored just fine, however.)
This startled me at first, but now, seeing what P4Win is doing
behind the scenes, it makes perfect sense.
Same thing works from the command line. If you set up the
rename, and use p4 edit you get the same message:
C:\Depots\users\wivey>p4 edit NewDesc.txt
//users/wivey/NewDesc.txt#1 - reopened for add
