Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. more...

Hmmm. Point taken. So... suppose that someday someone submitted a patch
to monotone that added "monotone guess" - an independent command that
just invoked "monotone rename" and so on, but was integrated into
monotone in other respects (used the same configuration files etc.).
That would be acceptable, right?

So, all we need is someone who believes enough in uids to actually do
that (in the best of open-source tradition :-). The next time some
pesky newcomer like myself raises the issue, the most effective answer
would be "write a 'guess' command yourself and we'll consider merging
it in". In the meanwhile, the design of monotone stays the simplest
possible - I like that.

My apologies again for reawaking this issue, it seems to have a lot of
history here :-)

Have fun,
