Outstanding CVS import issues

This is a list of all problems I know of:

- the initial checkin message is lost (actually the message is related 
to revision 1.1.1.1 not 1.1 and that one is ignored)
- any branches are lost e.g. even the contents of a file which exists 
only on a branch is not imported into the database
- later added files show up too early (my initial problem)

- deleted files show up too long (dead is not evaluated)

Fixed problems:

- Attic/ was considered part of the path
- state was not even read in

I'm going for #3 first, then #4
