How to clean out a CVS with Tortoise: msg#00124version-control.cvs.tortoisecvs.user
Okay, I don't know that much about CVS so I'm hoping I can find some help here. My game dev group is currently utilizing Tortoise CVS to access a CVS on cooldude.org servers which provides about 2 megs of space for code repository accounts. We've had this for about ten months now and our CVS reports being almost full (2000 of 2048 k), despite there only being about two hundred k of code files on it. The obvious fact is it must be holding revisions that boost up it's size, but testing a remove shows it's also holding files we thought had been removed from the CVS. While we could get a new account there and just start from scratch with the current working version, getting everyone moved over there would be a pain. Is there any way (easy or not) to clean out a CVS through tortoise? I have backups of all the relevent files so it's not a problem to reupload everything, but there should be a way to clear it out, particularly for when projects are finished. Thanks for any help. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: IT Product Guide on ITManagersJournal Use IT products in your business?
