For the large majority of people there is no hang. Could you maybe give some
more info on the circumstances? Are you maybe using SSH? In that case there
is currently one known issue with the console popup not being closed after
command execution. You could safely close it manually. A better solution is
to upgrade your cvs.exe which is where the bug is located. You could get it
from the latest CVSNT distribution available from http://www.cvsnt.org (note
that you'll most likely also need the correct *_protocol.dll in addition).
Hopefully WinCvs 1.3.9 will be out soon which should ship with a more recent
cvs.exe too. Some people have also reported success with an older cvs.exe,
e.g. the one from WinCvs 1.3.6 but I would not encourage this as there have
been quite a number of significant fixes in CVSNT since then.
If this doesn't help in your case or you're not using SSH, please supply
some more info:
OS of both the client and server.
CVS version of both client and server.
Access protocol (e.g. pserver, ntserver, sspi, ssh, etc.)
Hope this helps.
