You have to set your root directory by pressing the 'set'-button on the
top of the left window. There you can choose your project dir.

Please check your settings for the used ports in gcvs (Admin->Tab
Ports). The first checkbox ('for "rcmd" ...') have to be activated. The
Port should be "0". the last two checkboxes ('Check for ...') on bottom
of that tab should be unchecked.
