Perhaps an argument that might help convince them would be if SSH is
different from rsh in this aspect.  I could not find anything in
rsh/rcmd in GNU InetUtils/Libc that would ever set stderr to non
blocking mode, but the code is murky.  Could not find anything in GNU
LSH either.  SSH 1.x appear to set stdin to non-blocking, not stderr.
