fnmatch test in configure script broken: msg#00098version-control.cvs.bugs
>Submitter-Id: net >Originator: Thomas Klausner >Organization: net >Confidential: no >Synopsis: fnmatch test in configure script broken >Severity: non-critical >Priority: medium >Category: portability >Class: sw-bug >Release: cvs-1.11.5 >Environment: NetBSD-1.6L/i386 >Description: The configure script checks for the fnmatch function (used by cvs via configure.in's AC_FUNC_FNMATCH) in autoconf 2.53 do not detect fnmatch on NetBSD correctly. Thus, the compatibility function in the cvs sources is unnecessarily used. This was fixed somewhere between autoconf 2.53 and 2.57. >How-To-Repeat: Run the configure script on NetBSD-1.6 (and probably other versions too). >Fix: Regenerated configure with a newer autoconf. I tested with 2.57, and that worked.
