Ian and Thomas,

Thank you for helping me with this error.  I made the PATH changes that you
recommended.  Then, I ran make distclean and then re-ran the ./configure
script as well as the make.  I was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking a
look at the output to make sure that everything looks okay so far.  I saw a
few errors. . .
