Thank you for the response, Marcel. I've figured out the cloning issue
and the network issue as well. It would seem that it was a bad
interaction between BK and the wireless VPN at work. I'm not sure what
the solution is (besides do it at home instead), but maybe this will
help someone figure out what's causing some problems of their own.
