Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. more...

Subject: Re: Re: How to access local BK repositories after 1st?July?

I personally have tons of projects in single user. Its my own
projects. The Free BK license implied that it should be available
indefinitely -- in case BitMover went down, there's even a provision
that openlogging.org would cease to exist and release bk's into the
wild. I disagree with the cutoff approach for single user, and have
strong feeling it violates the free license access for single user.
The assumptions of smallness, preference of bkbits.net, etc., which
transpired in this thread, has _never_ been formalised in the license.

I believe that as a single user, reporting issues back to this list
over the years, I deserve to be able to

(1) use my single user repos indefinitely subject to
(2) having a bk2cvs tool available in such a way that I can run my
repos through it at the time of my choosing, and retrieve all the
history in a reasonable procesure which would allow ne to fall back on
the original RCS sequence.

Basically, if I imported a 1.1000 revisions of RCS of my .emacs,v, I
want bk to spit it out so that I can pick up at 1.1123, without much
hassle.

If BitMover does not provide the proper tools, timeline, and I am
consulted _beforehand_ and agree to it, it constitutes a breach of
trust, IMHO. If anyone else wants to pool together into a kind of a
class-action single user group, I think we single users could do
that...

Regards,
Alexy
