Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Subject: Re: Re: bkbits problem?

I'm looking into this. I believe that there are two things going on:

1) The way that we keep statistics for pulls/pushes/etc is less than
optimal and it has caught up to us because that repo is so heavily used.
Fixing that is going to take a bit of effort but it's time we looked
into that. I believe the stat processing is the cause of the long pause
at the end of a pull - yup, just verified it, pulls from other repos
are fast. I think I can fix this by resetting the stats but I'd like
to be careful about that, the stats are nice.

2) We recently added an option to clone to cache recent clones so that
the repo lock wasn't held while the repository is cloned. I suspect
that there is a bug in that so I've turned it off. I verified that
the clone below that Matt tried works from master.kernel.org. If
someone finds that there is still a problem let me know.

Sorry for the delay, we're stretched thin this month, the engineer
who normally watches over bkbits.net is out with a new baby and I
dropped the ball on this one (amusingly enough because I've been
spending almost 100% of my time interviewing people; hiring is
time consuming).

In the future, problem reports should at least copy support@xxxxxxxxxxxx,
that gets read first.
