If you want to package BitKeeper into Debian .deb packages, do this:
- apt-get install fakeroot dpkg-dev
- download bitkeeper normally
- download http://smurf.noris.de/code/tar/bitkeeper.tar.bz2
- tar xfvj bitkeeper.tar.bz2
- cd bitkeeper; fakeroot dpkg-buildpackage -b -uc; cd ..
- observe a nice shiny bitkeeper_3.0.4-5_i386.deb file, which you
obviously shouldn't redistribute.
Adaption to LinuxPPC is left as an exercise for the reader;
adaption to other Debian architectures is left as an exercise for the
BitMover folks. ;-)
