I have to say I agree with both of you.  :-)  I've long wanted a
less expensive option to commerically using BitKeeper in a way that
would help BitMover too.  But I'm sure Larry is right, its tough for
them to do without losing money.

There's lots of expensive things I'd like in stripped down versions
so-to-speak, just to help support the organization which is producing
it.  But sometimes just the cost of creating the stripped down version,
let alone the time needed explaining to customers "no, Mr. Johnson,
your el-cheapo license does not include support fees", and the bad
PR/reputation that can create for a company is way more than any gross
revenue earned from such a product.  In this case, BitMover has given
us an excellent choice - the free version with OpenLogging.  Since my
usage is with open source products, I'm ok with the terms - I just wish
there was a way I could also help support BitMover to some extent...
and perhaps get a little more in return for my cash than just a straight
donation to them.

But like Larry said, a topic better suited for the sales address than
this user list, but not entirely off topic since this list's members are
interested in BitKeeper.
