Problems with bk gone?

We have a lot of deleted files, roughly 25% of one of our
larger repositories.  If we 'bk gone' them are there any
serious consequences?  Will we still be able to push & pull
to/from repositories that still have them in the deleted
directory?  Has anybody come across any issues using bk gone?
